New User Seminar
The New User Seminar is designed to introduce users to the Internet. Individuals interested in attending this seminar are assumed to possess basic computer skills and a desire to access online information. Initially, the class will focus on discussing and examining fundamental issues associated with the relevant technologies. Individuals will learn how to get online, how to surf the World Wide Web, and how to send and retrieve e-mail. Future Internet technologies will also be examined in the later portions of this seminar.
Executive User Seminar
The Executive User Seminar is targeted toward corporate executives who wish to harness the power of the Internet for commercial purposes. Individuals interested in attending this seminar are assumed to possess basic computer skills and are assumed to be in an administrative position. As with the New User Seminar, individuals will first examine the fundamental issues associated with the relevant technologies. However, during the Executive User Seminar, greater emphasis will be placed on the commercial applications of the Internet. Individuals will learn about the new world of e-commerce, the technologies necessary for a commercial online presence, and the potential for return on investment when using the Internet.
Power User Seminar*
The Power User Seminar is intended for either personal or business users who wish to get the most possible out of the Internet. Individuals interested in attending this seminar are assumed to possess advanced computer skills. Personal users will learn about effectively searching for information, online gaming, and alternate methods of communication such as ICQ. Where as, business users will be introduced to HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Intranets, and office management applications such as Microsoft Outlook.
